The brand

A calm, precise way to drink better coffee.

SAMAN was created for people who love good coffee but do not always have time for a slow café ritual. We believe specialty coffee should be easier to understand, faster to receive, and fairer for the people at both ends of the chain.

The name and symbol are inspired by the saman tree: wide, rooted, generous, and protective. For us, it represents the connection between origin and city, farmer and guest, nature and precision.

Coffee is a global agricultural product supported by farmers, exporters, importers, roasters, cafés, logistics partners, and hospitality teams. Like many industries, operational complexity can sometimes create inefficiencies that add cost, delay, and inconsistency. SAMAN believes better systems, clearer workflows, and more direct long-term thinking can create more value for both the guest and the producer.

Why South American coffee is central to SAMAN.

South America is home to some of the world’s most respected coffee-growing regions. From the volcanic landscapes of Colombia and Ecuador to the high-altitude farms of Peru and Bolivia, and from Brazil’s vast coffee ecosystems to Venezuela’s historic growing areas, these regions have helped shape modern coffee culture through generations of agricultural knowledge, craftsmanship, and resilience.

At SAMAN, South American coffee is more than inspiration — it represents the long-term direction of the company. Our ambition is to eventually help support and strengthen coffee-growing communities through better systems, stronger relationships, operational efficiency, and more sustainable value distribution across the supply chain. We are still at the beginning of that journey, but it is central to our mission.

Our exact lots may rotate by season and availability. We choose coffee by quality and flavor first, then explain it clearly at the counter.

When will SAMAN open?

Will all coffee come from South America?

South American coffee is central to our identity and long-term sourcing direction, but we will always choose quality first. Some lots may rotate seasonally depending on harvest, availability, and flavor.

How will I choose between coffees?

By flavor. We will explain the coffees through taste profiles such as chocolate, caramel, rich body, berry, citrus, and floral notes.

Is SAMAN a sit-down café?

SAMAN is to-go first. The space is designed for quick, premium daily coffee with a small pause-and-go area rather than a traditional long-stay café format.
